An early morning fire in my neighborhood took out, at least for a short while, my favorite coffee house and noodle shop. There was an electrical fire in the skeevy convenience store that sits between Wayward Coffee House, and New's Noodles. Both are closed because of smoke and water damage. I'm sitting here at Caffe Vita in Fremont, looking at the books I got to day for the classes that start next week. Good thing I brought money with me. Worker Retraining pays for up to $300 in books, and my books came to $306. On the plus side, I was able to buy a bus pass for the quarter through the school for $110.
